Guru Nitya, A Constant Reminder and Inspiration

Now in England it is quietly changing from summer to autumn/winter. Our beloved garden is resting, its energy spent after a vibrant summer of colourful delights. Below in the dark earth the bulbs are pushing up, to be ready to greet the spring with welcoming flowers. It is all contained within its magic circle.

I love the idea of magic circles and how they encompass the preciousness of life. Remembering my own dear family and later past transgressions, and how Guru Nitya drew a magic circle around me and led me to safety. I recall arriving back at the Gurukula from a long bus journey across the mountains and telling Guru that I wanted to become strong like an Oak, and how he took a piece of paper, opened his paint box and drew a most beautiful tree with many branches and green leaves and wrote “Wendy Oak” on the bottom, then “Love Nitya,” and handed it to me. It is my constant reminder and inspiration.
